About Numevia

Clear Canadian calculations, built for real decisions

Numevia is a free bilingual calculator platform built specifically for Canadians. We turn complex financial rules into practical estimates, plain-language explanations and direct links to the official sources behind them.

Why Numevia exists

Canadian financial decisions are shaped by federal rules, provincial differences, Quebec-specific programs and Canadian lending conventions. Reliable information is often spread across many government and institutional websites. Numevia brings the calculation, assumptions and supporting explanation together in one clear place.

Built specifically for Canada

Our calculators focus on Canadian mortgages, taxes, payroll deductions, employment benefits, savings, retirement, business and vehicle financing. Where relevant, they account for provincial differences and Quebec-specific rules rather than treating Canada as a single uniform calculation.

How our calculators are developed

We begin with the calculation a Canadian user is trying to understand, document the assumptions, and prioritize primary official sources such as the Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, the Bank of Canada, Service Canada and provincial or municipal governments.

Transparent methodology

Calculator pages identify the applicable rule year, important assumptions, a last-verified date and direct official-source links. The detailed Official sources and rule record lets you review how an estimate was constructed. We update calculators when relevant rules, rates or thresholds change.

Useful estimates, not personal advice

Numevia provides educational planning estimates. Results are not financial, tax, legal, accounting, lending or investment advice, and they may not include every circumstance that applies to you. Important decisions should be confirmed with the appropriate professional, lender or government authority.

Privacy-conscious by design

You do not need an account to use Numevia. Calculator assumptions and results are generally processed in your browser, and saved scenarios remain on your device unless a feature clearly explains otherwise. Please do not enter names, account numbers or other sensitive identifiers into calculator fields.

How Numevia is supported

Numevia is free to use and is supported primarily by Google AdSense advertising. Advertising is kept separate from calculator inputs and primary results. Advertisers do not determine our calculation methods, explanations or source selection.

Corrections and feedback

Financial rules change, and clear explanations can always be improved. If you notice an outdated threshold, unclear term, translation issue or accessibility barrier, contact us at contact@numevia.ca and include the page address when possible.
